There are SO many things to do in Sedona! If you like to shop there are all kinds of fine art and art/craft galleries that range from contemporary to classic, new age to native. The Cowboy Corral offers a complete line of period western clothing, circa mid-1800's. Other shops offer the famous Red Dirt Shirts, leather goods and designer clothing. There are dozens of New Age and Native Spiritual shops offering jewelry, clothing, crystals, candles and other accessories. Garland's offers a huge selection of beautiful Navajo rugs, while Joe Wilcox and others offer a wide variety of Native American art and crafts.

If you like music there is Jazz on the Rocks, Sedona Jam, Chamber Music Sedona, Red Rocks Music Festival and numerous Native, New Age and Contemporary artists and venues. Sedona also boasts several professional and community theater companies.

Sedona's most treasured jewel is her history and landscape. There are numerous ways to tour Sedona and the surrounding area. Get a map and do it on your own or expereince one of the many creative tour companies! Here are a few samples:

There are several jeep tours available, we enjoyed one of the Red Rock Jeep Tours. You can join others or take your own private tour, just you and the guide. The guides dress in western wear and each have their own unique persona. Jeep tours include a vortex tour, cowboy/old west tour and local landscape destinations. Red Rock also has horseback riding tours and cowboy campouts.

Verde Canyon Railroad /Wilderness TrainVerde Valley Wilderness Train Image & Link to Website

This beautiful train ride tours the lush Verde Valley and follows the Verde Valley River. Watch for eagle nests and see old mining sites. You can move about the train, sit or stand inside or out, but don't leave anything valuable in your vehicle. Once the train leaves the station, the parking lot and station are pretty desolate. Vehicles with visible valuables (and even non-visible) are great targets for thieves that like to work without scrutiny! The next tour does not start until one finishes, about 3 hours.
