It happened by accident. Many years ago a friend built me a website for my costuming business. It was a class project and soon he had moved on to other endeavors and was unable to update the site. I had ideas for a new site....but no technical skills. I began to work on the new site with another friend who was self-taught and tinkered with digital design. Using his technical knowledge and my design skills we created a new site....and I was hooked. From my friend, I learned enough about Dreamweaver and Photoshop to be dangerous, but I still craved some more structured knowledge. I enrolled in a web design class and eventually signed up for two minors in computer science. I still have much to learn, but am told I have a pretty good eye!
I specialize in unique solutions for small businesses on a budget. Simple, yet visually attractive sites that are organized and easy to navigate. A little flair, coupled with the understanding of human behvior and perception. My education in psychology and years of marketing experience allow me to add dimensions that "artists" and "web designers" often miss. I love those projects where I can make educated and artistic decisions while meeting the clients wishes as well. Balancing all the factors is challenging and exciting!
Custom sites start at $300 and include hosting for the first year, only $30 per year thereafter. I can register your domain for $10 a year.
