"A mask tells us more than a face. Man is least himself when he talks in his own person. Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth." ~Oscar Wilde

For most of my working life, I was a theatrical costumer and prop builder. My specialties were masks, Victorian and Renaissance costumes and accessories. My work has also been collected by people from many countries as art. I showed my work at many different venues, but my favorite shows were the Renaissance and Victorian Faires. Sadly, the time came when those events were no longer of the quality that attracted me to them almost 40 years ago and I was moved to officially retire in 2007.

My work has also been featured in numerous movies, stage productions, television, printwork and advertising. Artists have purchased pieces to use in their own work, and, of course, I have always been a hit at costumed and masked events of all genres. I was told by many that some of my work was featured on one of the TV music network's "Cribs" shows in a popular rap artist's bedroom. Oh my!

It was an exciting and fulfilling career that spanned 3 decades, and now I am moving on to new ventures, new experiences and new ideas. See some more work at my website, Whimsey Wear Orignals. (www.whimseywear.com), currently under revision, check back later!

Here are a few pictures from the last movie I worked on, Disney's Haunted Mansion.
